An evening of improvisation
Both Andrea Berchtold (a Swiss Australian dancer) and Helen Davey Cox (an Australian Swiss musician) have juggled living and working between Switzerland and Australia for decades: straddling two picturesque places with complex cultural and familial dynamics. This has been their respective “SPAGAT”: a situation requiring balance between two opposing things
This has provided endless food for thought and discussion, understandings and misunderstandings, joys and sorrows ... and artistic inspirations.
But words can’t always capture this.
Instead Andrea and Helen enter into a fascinating dialogue of spontaneous dance and sound making to express where words fail.
A performance that transcends just about every border you can think of …
